Balmain for H&M

A little over 2 months ago at the Billboard Music Awards the Balmain for H&M collaboration was announced for a November release date. I've personally held off on commenting on the collaboration for my own reasons; but as a fashion blogger it is my due diligence to express my prospective on fashion. As a stylist I've worked with Balmain merchandise and am appreciative of their product which is why I'm personally not here for the dumbed down version which will be the collaboration. On the contrary as a business major, I also understand the reasonings behind the collaboration. Do I think it will hurt the credibility of the brand? Partially. But everything, if priced closer to the AW launch and not the Isabel Marant launch, will fly off the shelves in hours. Get your wallets ready, November 5th is around the corner.
