Six Icons take on Louis Vuitton

Whenever you think of Louis Vuitton or Google the brand the first reference should be the tan LV monogram against brown leather. A monogram so iconic that no matter the style or size of the bag it's a classic investment. Now yes times and trends have changed since LV's 1896 monogram debut but has trying to stay trendy lowered the value of the brand?

Delphine Arnault, Executive Vice President of Louis Vuitton, and Nicolas Ghesquière, Louis Vuitton’s Artistic Director of Women’s Collections has teamed up with six fashion icons to celebrate the LV monogram. Each icon (Christian Louboutin, Cindy Sherman, Frank Gehry, Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Newson, and Rei Kawakubo) collaborates with Louis Vuitton to execute their own collection paying homage to the LV monogram.

All pieces from each designer hits select Louis Vuitton stores worldwide mid/late October. Followed by the THE ICON and THE ICONOCLASTS: A Celebration of MONOGRAM launch event that will take place in New York City on November 7th, 2014.
