Knock Off, Knock it Off!

Anything in fashion that you can do/ make yourself is amazing because it's uniquely you. I found this DIY purse on Instagram yesterday that was so fabulous I was almost mad I didn't think of it myself.  Remember the Chanel Fall 2014/15 Ready to Wear supermarket themed runway show?

Or the ever so popular clear Chanel perfume bottle bags?

One of my Instagram followers decided to make her own rendition with a recycled basil container and a little rope chain. (Rope chain can be found at any fabric store or arts and craft store. I normally don't support knock offs but kudos to her thinking outside of the box! (And follow her on Instagram!)

Beyonce' x Topshop

Yes Bee-Hive the Queen Bee has done it again. The rumors are indeed true Mrs. Carter will soon team up with one of her favorite stores Topshop for her new clothing line. (Remember House of Dereon?) The street wear athletic brand will include clothing, accessories, as well as sneakers ideal for dance, fitness, and sports categories. Mama B must know how bad we all want her banging body so she's helping us get focus and back in the gym with this new (un-named as of yet) line.

"I could not think of a better partner as I continue to grow the Parkwood business. I have always loved Topshop for its fashion credentials and forward thinking. Working with its development team to create and produce a technical and fashion-led collection is exciting and I'm looking forward to participating in all aspects of this partnership." - Beyonce' on her new partnership with Topshop.

There aren't any images or release dates circulating as of yet but leave it up to Mrs. Carter to drop a surprise collection at midnight. The best has yet to come Bee Hive🐝

Junk Mail = Sales?

That's a terrible equation I know but it's true. Most of the time when we sign up for retailers email lists its a bunch of "Hey this is what's trending now". Delete those and look out for the Extra 40% off of all sale items" emails because yes they do exist.
In addition to these awesome deals most retailers (if not all) give you a bonus 15-25% off for signing up for their email list. This time of year is best for those early Christmas shoppers or those late Fall shoppers who are in denial of the seasons changing. The retail world will be in holiday spirits soon if not already so catch those sales while you can and get on those email lists. A few perks for giving out that email address that you rarely use.
If you're into consignment and don't mind buying used goods you should definitely check out therealreal.com

Levi's 501 jeans for $20 off why not?
The best thing about shopping with the Gap this time of year is GapCash $25 off for every $50 you spend. Sign up!

Lulus.com is one of my go to sites for a cute party dress that you wont find at the mall.

These Boots Were Made For Walking......well maybe

When you're the fashion forward friend and you shop as much as I do you end up being the go to person (slide over Google) for your friends when they want to know where to find particular items. The most frequent text I've received lately has been: "Where do I find thigh high boots that doesn't make me look like a stripper?" Let's first remember it's always how you wear garments not what you wear. Ex: Rihanna wearing lingerie in the streets of NYC with sneakers or the entire Pretty Woman movie. As I am here to rescue every one here are some trendy thigh high options for you gals:

The #1 trendy thigh high boot this season also available in black $198 @ flyjane.com

Keep it classy in the Megan over the Kneww boot $45 @ shopakira.com

Get Obessed with these Ivory thigh highs for $52 @ Lolashoetique.com
Because suede in the fall is necessary. Also available in black for $220 @ aldoshoes.com
Take notes from a few of our favorite celebrities on how to wear thigh high boots and I promise you won't look like a call girl.

Fur Please! Don't Call PETA

"Everyone is always after the shoe or bag of the season but you need a fur moment as well to really complete the look" - June Ambrose (Harper's Bazaar November 2014)

Whether it's a Fur coat, hat, collar we all need some fur in our wardrobe as an accessory. Or warmth if you can seriously afford a fox. Faux or real invest in a little fur and play up your risqué lace top like It girl Rihanna.

Or add some high end flair to your favorite leather jacket with a detachable fur collar like this one currently on sale at Express for $119

Remember to check your local thrift stores as well. I've found a few essential furry pieces while bin diving for under $50! Here are a few of my fur must haves:
My love for white is unreal!
With a hood? How FAB is that?!
What a cute and chic way to cover up a bad hair day.
Statement clutches are always a must have.

Six Icons take on Louis Vuitton

Whenever you think of Louis Vuitton or Google the brand the first reference should be the tan LV monogram against brown leather. A monogram so iconic that no matter the style or size of the bag it's a classic investment. Now yes times and trends have changed since LV's 1896 monogram debut but has trying to stay trendy lowered the value of the brand?
Karl Lagerfeld celebrates the LV monogram

Delphine Arnault, Executive Vice President of Louis Vuitton, and Nicolas Ghesquière, Louis Vuitton’s Artistic Director of Women’s Collections has teamed up with six fashion icons to celebrate the LV monogram. Each icon (Christian Louboutin, Cindy Sherman, Frank Gehry, Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Newson, and Rei Kawakubo) collaborates with Louis Vuitton to execute their own collection paying homage to the LV monogram.
Marc Newson celebrates the LV monogram

Are the shearling backpacks and boxing gloves #TeamTooMuch or would we consider these iconic pieces collectors items? Understanding and knowing the work of each designer plays a major part in appreciating this collaboration.
Rei Kawakubo celebrates the LV monogram

All pieces from each designer hits select Louis Vuitton stores worldwide mid/late October. Followed by the THE ICON and THE ICONOCLASTS: A Celebration of MONOGRAM launch event that will take place in New York City on November 7th, 2014.
