Take That Take That: Bad Boy In The 90's

Puff Daddy and The Family recently swept through Brooklyn for the Bad Boy Reunion and are now headed to a city near you. Honestly the best show I've ever been to in my life! From old school Bad Boy days with Total and Black Rob to new school hot boys French Montana and Fabolous, the experience was well worth the price. Invisible Bully and Bad Boy teamed up for a pop up shop in the city and at both shows celebrating the late Notorious BIG's birthday.

Prices for shirts and hoodies started @ $35.

The Life of Pablo Art Exhibition

"I miss the old Kanye" no really I do! Brianni T Presents hosted a Kanye inspired art show in Soho and it was  everything Kanye would want it to be. (I think) Over 2000 people came out and supported this non Yeezy funded event. Yeezy cupcakes to album inspired drinks, this Life of Pablo Exhibit was definitely a "No More Parties in LA" vibe. Check out some of the art work below.

Hand Painted merchandise was also on sale starting @ $100.

Manus x Machina: MET Gala 2016 Cheat Sheet

The Met Gala/ Met Ball or Costume Institute Gala (as it used to be called) is an annual fundraising benefit hosted by Vogue Magazine for the Met's Costume Institute. Every year the event is themed after the opening fashion exhibition that runs at the Institute through August. Now that we're all caught up on what the Met Gala is let's get into this year's theme.

Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age of Technology
Whether we like it or not now days technology plays a part in not only what we do but how we do things. When you think of Haute Couture garments they're mostly very limited as one of one's that were hand made (manus). On the contrary you have mass produced garments that you can find in a variety of sizes and sometimes colors that were made by machine (machina). Instead of displaying both techniques oppositionally, The Costume Institute brought them together in order to display the continuation in influence of both techniques. Whether hand sewn or made completely by machine both techniques advance the future of fashion by finding new resolutions to design problems as well as enhancing design practices all together.
