Remember those ugly, bulky shoes that only the nurses wore because they were comfortable? Or the orthopedic sandal version your grandmother wears? Now everyone is wearing them! The summer edition was so popular last year at hip stores such Urban Outfitters and TopShop, that now even major designers have taken part and created their own version. Check out the not so ugly comfy slides below.

"Psst...You're Underwear Are Showing"
At a first glance I personally didn't believe that women of all ages were unaware of which undergarments they should wear with certain ensembles. After 3 hours of "ass watching" in Central Park today I am a believer. Not that there's a such thing as the wrong pair of underwear but there is a such thing as the wrong pair under a certain garment. Here's a few down below appearances we should be mindful of going into the Spring/ Summer seasons:
1. Lace/ Ruffle Trimming: Yes super cute for the bedroom. Super inappropriate underneath of anything silk, spandex, Lycra, or fitted in general. Specifically undergarments such as bodycon skirts/ dresses, pencil skirts, and yoga tights. These garments are made to hug the curves of the body, the last thing you want noticed are the frills of those bedroom panties.
2. White On White: Definitely a rule of thumb never, ever wear white under white. Well unless you want your goodies on front street. Nude or the closest thing to your flesh tone and black should always be your go to. Specifically under thinner materials such as linen.
3. Sundresses: The best throw on and go and yet still be fashionable piece of a Spring/ Summer wardrobe. Another piece that's meant to be more on the form fitted side should definitely not be worn with the granny/ hi rise panties. Contrary to popular belief low rise under wear is not always the best option either. Specially if you're on the cheekier side, the last thing you want to do is purposely give yourself a wedgie. If you're one of those women who don't mind a little giggle; I'd recommend a g-string. Seamless underwear work well under sundresses as well if g-strings aren't really your thing.
4. Leggings: Unless you're paying top dollar at LuluLemon or any other yoga brand 9 times out of 10 your leggings can be seen through. Forever 21 and H&M leggings are the biggest culprits of this; no matter the color. I would highly suggest a solid hipster panty under leggings. Whatever you do, do not wear zebra or lepoard print for every one to see.
5. The Low Rise: Unfortunately this panty is not for every one. As cute as the 5 for $27 variety at Victoria Secret may be you definitely should be mindful of your body type before purchasing. Low rise panties are the most visible in jeans. If you bend over to pick up something and the top half of your behind is out of not only the under wear but the jeans as well, chances are low rise panties aren't for you.
The seamless panty can be your solution for any underwear malfunction. Available in all cuts from hipster, bikini, and boy shorts. You can find them at any local Gap, Target, Wal Mart, or Kohl's starting at $5. Keep your goodies out the street and save them for the sheets!

"I wouldn't have worn that w/ those shoes!"
Bring on those bright, fun, and festive shoes! Now what are you wearing with them? So many times I've complimented a fabulous shoe with the wrong outfit. The shoe is your statement piece no need to get all matchy matchy and tacky Jackie. I definitely prefer to keep it simple when I know my footwork is going to catch all of the attention.
Denim on Denim. Flats $90 @ TopShop.
A few prints I'm looking to add to my shoe closet this season:
Aldo $70
Reebok Pumps $181 @ Farfetch.com
Adidas x Mary Katrantzou $170 @ Saks Fifth Avenue
Love Moschino Espadrilles $135 @ AllSole.com

Spice Up Those Nudes!
Once Kanye West got a hold of Kim Kardashian's wardrobe and became her personal stylist, the common consumer never looked at nudes the same.
Very neutral of a color, such as black and white, a nude statement piece in your wardrobe can be just as universal as an all white button down shirt.
Whether you're headed out for a date night or headed to the office a nude ensemble is always an option (Not just in a body con skirt and turtle neck half shirt either!) Here's some Nude-spiration to add to your wardrobe for all seasons.

Zara.com $80

Cheap Steals: 3 Day Vacation!!
With mounds of snow and below 10 degree weather sweeping the North East/ East Coast; what better time than now to escape to at least 60 degree weather? As we know I'm a huge fan of Groupon and Living Social for their daily local deals but don't skip over those Getaway steals.
This time of year is typically the off season for most vacation destinations such as Miami, Las Vegas, and the California area. Through these third party deal sites you can book a 3 day vacation for as low as $190 (for all 3 days) at a 4 star hotel. Check out the details below of my most recent vacation to Las Vegas.
(Photos provided by Groupon)
This deal is still currently available on Groupon with specific dates. There is a $24 resort fee and $50 damage fee per day charged to your account when checking in.
Unlike most vacation deals at this low of a price, the room as well as the hotel and views looked as pictured on the website.
Be sure to check out the activities on Groupon and Living Social while you're on vacation. I booked a tour of the Hoover Dam as well as a Happy Hour ride on the High Roller at The Linq both through Living Social.
Vacation doesn't have to be expensive!!
